Ultra Modern Pole Home
(Award Winner)
This ultra-modern pole home is designed for a sloping block. A dual pavlion pole house designed to capture the views of majestic Cobaki. The front entry features a skillion roof with cantilevered, galvanised iron supports.
Instead of walls, the house has banks of timber and glass bi-fold doors that open up to reveal the beauty of the sloping site and captures the valley breezes. The pavilions are separated by a timber-decked breezeway that can be closed for security with pivoted double timber and steel gates.
The design was heavily influenced by the owner’s research in home magazines and a love of the cutting-edge industrial look, more common in inner city developments. The ensuite is a statement in ultra-modern style completely open plan.
In one pavilion is the master suite, kitchen and family room that opens on to an extra-wide timber deck. The other houses the three guest bedrooms, main bathroom and laundry. |
